Young actor Naga Chaitanya has been in plans to continue his success streak after an impressive entertainer like Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam. He is back with an action thriller Yuddham Saranam which has been helmed by debutant Krishna RV Marimuthu. Lavanya Tripathi, Rao Ramesh and Revathi played other pivotal roles. Srikanth is the lead antagonist and Sai Korrapati is the film’s producer. Yuddham Saranam is hitting the screens today and here is the film’s review:
Story:
Yuddham Saranam is all about the story of Arjun (Naga Chaitanya) and his family. Loaded with love and emotions, they lead a happy life and a deadly attack kills both his parents (Rao Ramesh and Revathi). Arjun comes to know about Nayak (Srikanth), the mastermind behind the serial blasts that kills thousands along with his parents. The rest of Yuddham Saranam is all about how Arjun dominates the story and kills Nayak. Watch it to know how it happens.
Analysis:
Yuddham Saranam has a lean plot which is completely predictable and has nothing new. However the family emotions have been showcased well on screen. The love story looks fresh though it has been short. The first half has interesting and melodious songs placed well and the crucial episodes have been narrated simple and make no impact. With a loose interval bang, the first half of Yuddham Saranam looks ok but will not disappoint the audience.
The most crucial second half for an action thriller like Yuddham Saranam has been completely disappointing. The screenplay looks confusing and the treatment has been so bad. The major plot has been completely ignored and the second half of Yuddham Saranam barely has entertainment. On a serious note, the suspence too has not been maintained. The most crucial climax looks completely simple and on the whole the second half of Yuddham Saranam is a huge disappointment.
Performance:
Naga Chaitanya has shown huge improvement in the past one year and Yuddham Saranam shows him in a completely different way. He looks stunning on screen and performed to the core. Lavanya Tripathi is a treat to watch on screen and she excelled in the romantic episodes. Rao Ramesh and Revathi have been perfect choices for their roles. Srikanth makes a strong comeback with the film and his performance will be widely lauded by the audience. His screen presence has been exceptional. All the other actors delivered out their best.
The story of is the first disappointment of the film. The screenplay and the dialogues have not been penned well. The cinematography has been stupendous and is the major highlight of the film. The music of the movie looks decent but the background score disappoints. The production values look grand and debutant Krishna RV Marimuthu makes no impact with his directorial abilities.
Final Word:
Yuddham Saranam is a huge disappointment as the film offers nothing new. Predictable plot, slow narration, poor second half and bad execution makes Yuddham Saranam fall flat. On the flipside, Chaitu and Srikanth surprise the audience with their loud performances.
Yuddham Saranam Review: 2.5/5
