Kalyanram’s MLA Movie Review

Kalyanram's MLA Movie Review

Nandamuri Kalyaram has been sounding quite confident on his next outing MLA which is said to be laced with all the commercial ingredients. Directed by Upendra Madhav, MLA has a political touch and Kajal Agarwal played the female lead. The film released all over today which is produced by People Media Factory and Blue Planet LLP. Here the complete review of MLA:

Story:

MLA is a regular formatted film that has been indulged with various characters. Kalyan (Kalyanram) who resembles a regular Tollywood protagonist falls in love with Indu (Kajal Agarwal), a gorgeous beauty. Though his attempts to impress her irritate the audience, at the right time, the real story gets unfolded. MLA is all about how Kalyan protects Indu and how he locks horns with a goon named Gaddappa (Ravi Kishan) forms the rest of the story. Watch MLA to know about the complete story.

Positives:

Kalyanram and Kajal

Cinematography

Grand production Values

Some rib tickling entertainment

Negatives

Story, screenplay and direction

Predictable second half

Badly placed songs

Performances:

Nandamuri Kalyanram looks perfect in shape and he delivers out his best in the role of Kalyan. He did well in the emotional episodes and his episodes with Kajal have been decent. Kajal looks stunning and she is the major highlight of MLA. The actress over performed and has been glamorous in the songs. Ravi Kishan’s role was not well written but he did his best for the movie. Posani, Prudhvi, Vennela Kishore and Prabhas Sreenu managed to bring out smiles. All the other actors have been well presented.

MLA has a poor plot and makes no difference. With badly penned screenplay, the film turns even worse. The dialogues have been well written and Upendra Madhav fails in all the available ways as a director. The cinematography and the background score elevated the film well. The music has been ok and the production values have been grand.

Verdict:

MLA is one more commercial disappointment from Kalyanram because of a predictable plot and badly penned screenplay. Though the performances have been decent, the second half is a huge let down.

Rating:2/5
