Kabali First Weekend Worldwide Collections
Superstar Rajinikanth has been out of commercial reaches with his recent outings all his releases after Robo ended up as massive debacles at the box-office. His recent outings Kochadaiyaan and Linga have been declared as massive commercial failures after which the actor has taken a huge break from films. He has been listening to scripts after which he has been approached by PA Ranjith. Rajini loved the script and he too worked on the pre-production of the film. The movie has been shot exclusively in Malaysia and is made on a massive budget of Rs 120 crores.
Kabali has been one of the most awaited films and has done a terrific pre-release business of Rs 225 crores. Rajinikanth’s look with thick white beard created huge buzz all over and raised the expectations on the movie. Radhika Apte played the female lead and Dhansika essayed a crucial role. Santhosh Naryanan composed the music and S Thanu produced Kabali on V Creations banner. Kabali released all over on July 22nd across the globe in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam languages.
Released in 4000 screens across the globe between huge expectations, Kabali received mixed response from the audience. However the collections have been quite strong all over. The movie minted Rs 90 crores on its first day across the globe and the collections have been remarkable across the weekend. Kabali collected Rs 196.25 crores in three days of its box-office run all over which has been huge in all the languages of its release that included special premieres. Rajinikanth has been quite delighted with the film’s collections and the movie has been running strong though it dipped down in some of the territories of the world. Kabali is expected to make a decent business in its final run all over.
