Analysis:
The first half of Inkokkadu has been decent and impressive with interesting episodes throughout. It is the performance of Vikram which elevates the film and the action episodes have been completely outstanding. The songs have been placed well and the entertainment at parts has been decent. The interval twist leaves everyone in surprise and on the whole the first half of Inkokkadu has been impressive throughout.
The second half of the movie dips down completely because of the dragged narration and unwanted episodes. The screenplay loses the grip and the songs have been misplaced. The levels of entertainment has been completely zero and the climax has been completely predictable. On the whole, Inkokkadu dips down because of a bad second half.
Performance:
Chiyaan Vikram once again excelled completely in the roles of Akhil and Love. He has been outstanding and performed to the peaks. Nayanthara has been sizzling hot and impressed everyone with her stunning screen presence. She has been stupendous with her performance too and Nithya Menen has been completely wasted. All the other actors have been decent in their assignments.
The story of Inkokkadu has been quite interesting and unique. However it is the screenplay which happened to be the major spoiler of the film. The dialogues have been completely decent and the music has been apt. The background score and the cinematography are the major highlights of Inkokkadu and the production values have been grand enough. Anand Shankar though he could pen a decent plot, he failed in executing it.
Final Word:
Inkokkadu is a film that has power packed performances by Vikram and grand technical aspects, however the film dips down because of the dragged and predictable second half.
Inkokkadu Review & Rating : 2.5/5.0
