Talented director Harish Shankar took a long break after Allu Arjun’s Duvvada Jagannadh. He took his time and decided to remake Tamil blockbuster Jigarthandaa in Telugu. The film is titled Valmiki and it features Varun Tej, Pooja Hegde and Atharvaa Murali in the lead roles. The entire shoot of the film will be wrapped up by the mid of August and the post-production work of Valmiki already kick-started recently.
Harish Shankar watched the complete output of the film recently and he decided to buy stake from the film. He is said to have acquired the theatrical rights of two territories and will release them on his own. Valmiki is a gangster drama and Harish Shankar made enough changes for the script. 14 Reels Plus produced Valmiki and the film releases on September 13th.
