Manly Star Gopichand has been struggling with back to back disasters. His theatrical market too tumbled down badly and the actor pinned many hopes on his recent film Chanakya. The film that is made on a massive budget released during Dasara and the film ended up as a huge dud. The film collected less than Rs 5 crores in its final run and the makers of his next film are left puzzled about the project.
Gopichand signed an action thriller in the direction of Binu Subramanyam and the film is to be produced by BVSN Prasad. After Chanakya ended up as a dud, there are differences between Gopichand and BVSN Prasad. The makers are not ready to spend lavishly on the project after which the project is shelved. Gopichand too decided to take a break and will take a call on his next film soon. Sampath Nandi will direct his next film.
