Collection King Mohan Babu is making his comeback after a huge break. The actor has been impressed with the script of Gayatri and signed it. Madan directed the movie in which Mohan Babu assigned the roles of Sivaji and Gayatri Patel. Manchu Vishnu, Shriya Saran and Nikhila Vimal played other pivotal roles in the film which has been bankrolled by Mohan Babu himself. Here is the complete review of Gayatri:
Story:
The film starts off with the introduction of Dasari Sivaji (Mohan Babu) who is a renowned stage artist and does enough service for the poor. In an unfortunate incident, he gets parted away from his wife Saradha (Shriya Saran) and his small daughter (Nikhila Vimal). After years, he saves a girl and comes to know that she is her daughter. It is during this time he comes through a problem in the name of Gayatri Patel (Mohan Babu). The rest of the film is all about what happens next and how Sivaji solves all his problems.
Positives:
Mohan Babu
Story
Political Dialogues
Negatives:
Screenplay and Direction
Poor and outdated presentation
Music and background score
Deviated second half
Performances:
Mohan Babu has been stupendous and energetic throughout the film. He excelled in the assigned roles and shined with perfection. His greatest strength are his dialogues and he once again proved that he is an undisputed king in it. Manchu Vishnu and Shriya looked decent in their short roles. Nikhila Vimal is one more surprise for the film and she was apt for the role. All the other actors looked decent and Brahmanandam, Ali along with others managed to entertain the audience.
Gayatri has a decent plot but it is the narration that looks completely outdated. The screenplay looks pale and the dialogues make no impact. The music and the background score too have been disappointing and the cinematography work was decent. The production values have been apt and decent. The editing has been sharp enough and director Madan fails in all the available ways to churn out Gayatri into an impressive action thriller.
Verdict:
Gayatri is one more disappointment from Mohan Babu and his team. Except the decent performance from the veteran actor, the film offers nothing much.
