Story:

Evaru is the story of Sameera (Regina) who gets involved in the murder of a cop Ashok (Naveen Chandra). She gets named as the major suspect in the case and her husband seems not much bothered about the case. It is then Sameera approaches Vikram (Adivi Sesh), a corrupted cop and he will be paid a huge amount for the deal. The rest of Evaru is all about the inside twists and what happens next. Will Sameera come out of the mess forms the real story of Evaru.

Positives:

Direction
Performances
Second Half
Gripping and Racy
Technically top class

Negatives:

Predictable at times
Slow-paced first half
If you watched original, you may not thoroughly enjoy this

Performances:

Adivi Sesh as usual delivered his best for the film in the role of Vikram. The actor shines as a corrupted cop and shows enough variations in the role. Regina Cassandra is the major highlight of Evaru and she steals the show completely. Regina looked perfect in the assignment. Naveen Chandra was good in a limited role. All the other actors did a decent job.

Evaru starts on a slow pace as the story was to be built to establish the characters. As time progresses, there is lot of happening and the film gets interesting. The screenplay and the direction are the major highlights of Evaru. The editing has been sharp and the background score is an asset. The cinematography work excels in all the available ways. The production values by PVP Cinema are top class.

Verdict:

Evaru is an interesting, racy and spine chilling action thriller which makes a decent watch this weekend if you haven’t watched the original. Adivi Sesh and his team excel in their roles.
