Taapsee Pannu is making her comeback to Tollywood afer an enough gap with a horror comedy titled Anando Brahma. Mahi V Raghav directed the movie and Sreenivas Reddy, Shakalaka Shankar, Vennela Kishore, Taagubothu Ramesh, Raja Ravindra and Rajeev Kanakala essayed other interesting roles. Anando Brahma released all over today and here is the complete review of the movie:
Story:
Anando Brahma is the story of Raju (Rajeev Kanakala) who decides to sell his ancestral home as his parents passed away. It is during this time an agent (Raja Ravindra) who plans to attain the property for a low price citing there are ghosts in the house. Raja then manages to bring a bunch of people (Sreenivas Reddy, Shakalaka Shankar, Vennela Kishore, Taagubothu Ramesh) asking them to stay in the home for three days. The rest of Anando Brahma is all about what happens next.
Analysis:
The first half of Anando Brahma starts on a slow note and looks prolonged as the prominent characters have been introduced in a detailed way. The film starts off with a twist however it dips down for the next half an hour. The interval episodes have been shot well and makes the film interesting. On the whole the first half of Anando Brahma manages to fall down and bounce back.
Anando Brahma has a stupendous second half and it has been hilarious throughout. The levels of entertainment and the performances by the lead actors take the film to the next level. It is during the pre-climax the film turns interesting again however the climax of Anando Brahma looks completely outdated. On the whole the second half of Anando Brahma has been completely impressive if one ignores the climax.
Performance:
Taapsee is back with an impressive performance in Anando Brahma. She excelled in some of the roles and dominated everyone. Sreenivas Reddy has been terrific with his comic timing. Shakalaka Shankar impressed the audience big time with his spoofs. Vennela Kishore has been hilarious as a person suffering with night blindness. Taagubothu Ramesh too has been decent in his role. All the other actors looked apt and performed well.
Anando Brahma has an interesting plot and it is the screenplay, dialogues which turn the film impressive. The editing has been perfect and the background score sounded apt. It elevated some of the episodes well. The cinematography follows the film’s mood and the production values of Anando Brahma have been grand. Mahi V Raghav managed to impress the audience with Anando Brahma.
Verdict:
Anando Brahma has been laced with loads of sensible entertainment throughout which makes the film passable despite of some flaws. A decent one time watch for sure.
