Super talented filmmaker Krish received wide response for his directorial abilities last year with NBK’s 100th film Gautamiputra Satakarni. Soon he has been asked to direct Manikarnika, the life story of warrior queen Rani Laxmi bai. Bollywood beauty Kangana Ranaut has been specially trained for the role and the shoot of the film is currently on. The makers are canning some crucial episodes in Rajasthan after which a Brahmin community started protesting.
Sarva Brahmin Mahasabha, a brahmin outfit wanted the shoot to be cancelled as of now and they wrote an open letter to the Government of Rajasthan to stall the shoot. They even asked the makers to submit the entire story of the film saying that the film distorted the history defaming the life story of the warrior queen. A deadline of three days has been imposed and if the government of Rajasthan fails to respond, Sarva Brahmin Mahasabha hinted of agitating. However the makers responded saying that Manikarnika will not hurt anyone and the film will present Rani Laxmibai in a respectable manner.
