Superstar Rajinikanth has been busy shooting for 2.0 from the past few months which has been wrapped up recently. Sensational director Shankar is the director of the film and Amy Jackson played the female lead. 2.0 is said to be the costliest ever Indian film made and the film has been allotted a budget of Rs 400 crores. Bollywood Superstar Akshay Kumar will be seen as the lead antagonist in the film which has been announced for January 26th 2018 release.
There has been huge demand for the Telugu theatrical rights of the film and top producer Sai Korrapati quoted Rs 60 crores for the rights. The makers have been expecting Rs 80 crores for Telugu informed a source. Now leading distribution house Global Cinemas bagged the theatrical rights of 2.0 for a whopping amount of Rs 75 crores across Telugu speaking states. Lyca Productions are the producers. AR Rahman is the music composer.
