Guru Movie Analysis:
Guru has been realistic mostly however the treatment has been extremely massy. The first half of the film takes enough time to unfold the real story and it is the performances by the lead actors that keep the film going. The songs have been shot extremely well and the locations showcase the film’s mood. With a decent interval bang, the first half of the film has been apt and lives up the expectations.
The second half which is crucial for a sports drama takes a huge dip at times. Though the movie comes out, it has a huge impact on the audience. Most of the episodes in the second half look dragged and the songs have been quite tough to listen. The most important episodes lack the needed emotions and they seemed to be showcased in a hurry. On the whole the second half of Guru has decent performances but they lack interesting narration.
Performance:
Venkatesh has been outstanding in the role of Aditya and he tops the show with his flawless performance. He has completely sensible and impressive to the core. Ritika Singh is apt as Ramudu and she has been showcased in the best way in the film. She did the challenging role with utmost perfection. All the other actors have been decent with their assignments.
The story of Guru has been taken from many realistic episodes. The screenplay of the film looks decent and the dialogues have been fresh and they elevated the film well. The music is a huge disappointment though the songs have been showcased well on screen. The background score fails to match the film’s mood and the cinematography has been apt. The production values of Guru have been lavish and Sudha Kongara presents Guru in a realistic way but it may appeal to a section of audience.
Final Word:
Guru is a film that will be restricted to a section of audience because of the treatment the film has. Venkatesh and Ritika Singh have been outstanding in their assigned roles in the film.
