The makers missed three deadlines and the new release date will be announced soon. Shankar is busy with the VFX work of the film and Amy Jackson played the female lead. The latest news we hear is that the makers are keen on releasing 2.0 during Diwali this year. However Bollywood Superstar Aamir Khan’s next outing Thugs of Hindostan has been announced for release during Diwali.
The makers tried contacting Aamir but the actor was unhappy about the clash and he was not in a mood to discuss about the clash. It was Rajinikanth who called up Aamir Khan and initiated the talks. The makers of 2.0, Lyca Productions and Yash Raj Films who are producing Thugs of Hindostan are busy discussing about the box-office clash. Lyca Productions are expected to announce the release date of 2.0 next month. Shankar is keen on wrapping up the post-production work soon. AR Rahman is the music composer for 2.0.
