Megastar Chiranjeevi has been off screen from the past nine years and now he is making his comeback to mainstream cinema. This also marks his 150th film as an actor and he spent almost two years for finalizing the script. Megastar also worked out intensively to shape up his body and get back the fresh look. Chiranjeevi worked on the script and he finalized to remake Tamil super hit movie Kaththi. Sensational director VV Vinayak has been roped in to direct the movie and he has done enough research and updated the script so that it suits the Telugu nativity.
Tentatively titled as Kathilantodu the movie completed its first schedule and the second schedule is currently under process. The most surprising thing is that the female lead for the film has not been yet finalized and the hunt is on. After considering many names, the makers wanted Kajal Agarwal to play the female lead and they have contacted the actress. Kajal who has been struggling for success from the past few months has been managing to get good offers. The actress’s recent outings SardaarGabbar Singh and Brahmotsavam ended up as massive debacles.
As per the latest news, Kajal quoted a whopping remuneration of Rs 2.5 crores for the film which left the makers in deep shock. They tried convincing the actress, but Kajal was in no mood to compromise about her remuneration revealed sources. Ramcharan too tried to convince the actress but she will not get down about her remuneration. As per the latest update, the makers are currently in search for an alternate actress for the female lead. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music and Ramcharan is producing Kathilantodu on Konidela Production House banner. Kathilantodu will complete shoot and will hit the screens across the world during Sankranthi next year.
